Wine Bottle Craft: Vase DIY Tutorial
Wine Canteen Arts and crafts: Vase DIY Tutorial – Such a fun way to make crafts using vino bottles. Create a vase for home decor or for party centerpieces.
I accept a LOT to learn in the creativity section of repurposing, but information technology's slowly becoming a matter for me. The thought of taking something that would unremarkably exist thrown in the trash, and turning it in to something that can be cute for a party tablescape or as home decor… actually tickles my fancy.
Wine Canteen Craft: Vase DIY Tutorial
When my gal pal Kate came over the other day, nosotros started thinking near ways we could tie in the color "gold," to the Summertime Soiree Party that we styled for Columbus Arts and crafts Meats last month. Somehow, no matter the topic, our minds tend to lean towards the subject area of "wine."
So when the idea of using a wine bottle as a vase with big, beautiful flowers in it for the political party table came up, it was a no-brainer!
Since I'thou incredibly lucky to be a part of the Make information technology Martha team on Martha Stewart, I had the PERFECT Metal Gold Martha Stewart Crafts® paint in my craft room, and I knew information technology would expect incredible brushed on to the wine bottle.
Vino Bottle Vase Tutorial:
Paint + Castor
For this craft, we used the Metal Gold Soft Gel Watercolor Acrylic Craft Paint, considering it works groovy on drinking glass. So, to pigment it on, we used one of brushes from the Martha Stewart Crafts® Watercolor Castor Ready. Friends, if you haven't tried any of the paint brushes from the Martha Stewart Crafts® collection, do it. I never idea that the quality of a brush actually mattered… until we tried these. Particularly the stencil brushes that we used on the flamingo beverage tray and nautical anchor pillow.
You can selection the paint and brushes upwardly (along with other amazing products) at Michael'southward HERE.
Wine Bottle Transformation:
Step 1: Drink the wine out of the vino bottle. All of it. (Haha… totally kidding. Kind of.)
Step 2: Remove label. Make clean the canteen, within and out. Making sure to remove whatever glue left from label.
Footstep 3: Pour a pocket-size amount of the paint on to a disposable dish, similar a paper plate. This paint can become a long way, then get-go with a small amount.
Step 4: Starting at the tiptop of the wine glass, begin brushing pigment strokes downwards the bottle.
We opted for a "sheer," brushed expect on the canteen, instead of fully covering the bottle, and LOVED the manner it turned out. Only you can practise more of a fully covered wait if you prefer!
The vino canteen vase was dry in no-fourth dimension, and ready for flowers! We concluded up making two for the Summer Soiree Party, but nosotros at present have them placed effectually the firm for an added touch of gold decor.
